The IPod Touch is
a 4-inch tablet PC available to buy now. The device is due to ship imminently
and will allow you to view high-definition video and enjoy your music and
pictures. It's different from an Apple iPad in that it will also allow you to
make voice calls and send SMS texts. It runs the Android 2.1 operating system
and so you can get apps to download from the Android Maketplace.
So what's it like? Well, the IPod Touch screen is 4-inches,
is the resistive type, with 800 by 480 pixel screen resolution. It's an LED back-lit
LCD screen with good build quality. The device weighs-in at around 500g so
highly portable.

IPod Touch Software
The IPod Touch runs Android 2.1 and it looks like there will
be an additional user interface layer on top of this to improve usability
further. Once it's shipped we'll have more feedback from users on how this
works. As it's running Android 2.1 there should also be access to the Android
Market where it's fairly easy to download lots of apps including eBook readers,
Facebook, music applications etc..

also Apple iPad, tablet PC and e-reader reviews and news. The site is dedicated
to helping people choose and use an iPad or the best tablet PC alternatives for
their needs.
